Capacity building, child safeguarding, social inclusion and local inclusive development.
The projects department was established in January 2015 under the name CCCP by PROMHANDICAM in partnership with ESEDA, CJARC and PNLCé, with financial and technical support from CBM, to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
Main axes
The main activities focus on capacity building for teachers in partner schools and local populations.
Child safeguarding
Communities and schools need to be safer spaces for children. To achieve this, the department aims to set up a child protection monitoring system in each school to reduce the risk of abuse. Activities focus on child safeguarding, involving decentralized local authorities and schools in developing and implementing relevant policies.
Social inclusion
The organizational capacities of disabled people's organizations will be strengthened to enable them to take greater responsibility in defending their own interests. Persons with disabilities, both men and women, will be guided towards internal financial resource mobilization activities, with the aim of self-reliance.
Local inclusive development
Activities aim to include persons with disabilities in development initiatives. Municipalities are the target institutions to facilitate this approach. The program will facilitate and support the recruitment of Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) agents whose role is to mobilize various stakeholders to take into account the disability inclusion approach in development initiatives.
